StreamJuice Giveaways has been updated
The new StreamJuice Giveaways update is now live. Because this update adds new Twitch permission requirements, every connected Twitch account must be relinked before the bot can begin working on that channel again.
Important: relink your Twitch account
All Twitch accounts must be relinked for the StreamJuice bot to work again on your channel. This is required because the update adds new Twitch permissions for Channel Point Redeems and redemption management.
Until your Twitch account is relinked, the bot may not be able to connect, respond to chat commands, listen for redemptions, or manage channel point entries correctly.
The main new permission needed for Channel Point Redeems is channel:manage:redemptions.
What was added?
- Channel Point Redeems: You can now create Twitch Channel Point rewards from StreamJuice and connect them to giveaway entries.
- Redeem Entry Rules: Channel point entries can either count toward the viewer’s max joins or act as bonus entries, depending on how you set up the reward.
- Pause Elimination Spin: You can stop an elimination spin from the dashboard or from chat with !pausespin. The remaining names stay on the wheel.
- Entry Notes: Viewers can add a short message with their entry, such as !join Paper Mario. The wheel can show either the viewer name with the message or just the message.
- Claim Messages: Winners can include a short message when claiming, such as !claim MyMinecraftName. This can save usernames, prize choices, or other short details to analytics.
- Claim Message Toggle: Claim records can still be saved while claim-related chat messages are silenced.
- Auto Spin Timer: You can set a timer that spins the wheel after the chosen amount of time.
- Overlay Show and Hide Commands: You can show or hide the overlay wheel from chat using customizable commands, with default commands like !showwheel and !hidewheel.
- Leave Command: Viewers can leave a giveaway and remove their own entries when enabled through the current command setup.
- More Custom Chat Messages and Placeholders: New message options and placeholders have been added for winners, entry notes, claims, channel points, leave messages, and elimination mode.
- Analytics Updates: Claim messages are now stored with giveaway claim records so streamers can review submitted prize details later.
Channel Point Redeem notes
Channel Point Redeems are one of the biggest parts of this update. StreamJuice can create the reward on your Twitch channel, listen for the redeem, add entries when the redeem is valid, and cancel the redeem when it cannot be used.
For example, if a viewer is already at the max entry limit and the reward is configured to count toward max joins, the redeem can be canceled instead of taking their points for no reason. This is why the new Twitch permission is required.
What should I do now?
Go to your StreamJuice dashboard, relink your Twitch account, then review your giveaway lists, chat commands, custom messages, and Channel Point Redeem settings.
Existing giveaway settings should remain in place, but any Twitch-connected behavior depends on the updated Twitch authorization.
